Sister taxa: Sarcodon pygmaeus, Sarcodon zhaii
Type specimen: IVPP V11134.1, a tooth (left M1). Its type locality is Bayan Ulan site (lower 3 m), which is in a Paleocene terrestrial siltstone in the Nomogen Formation of China.
Ecology: scansorial insectivore
Distribution: found only at Bayan Ulan site (lower 3 m)
