Type specimen: IGM-KU 8601, a partial skull (left hemimandible with right I1-leftM3 and a left maxillary fragment preserving roots of P3-M2 and the lingual half of M3). Its type locality is El Dinde Locality 9-86-A, which is in a Laventan terrestrial horizon in the Villavieja Formation of Colombia.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore
