Belongs to Boreoceras according to A. K. Miller and W. Youngquist 1947
Sister taxa: Boreoceras brevicameratum, Boreoceras ovale, Boreoceras parvulum, Boreoceras washburni
Type specimen: YPM 17312 (part), a partial shell. Its type locality is Sutton Island, SW side, which is in a Tremadocian carbonate dolomite in Canada.
Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore
Distribution:
• Ordovician of Canada (2: Nunavut collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
