Sister taxa: Boreoceras brevicameratum, Boreoceras cloudi, Boreoceras ovale, Boreoceras washburni

Type specimen: a series of syntypes in the YPM. Its type locality is Fossil Point, Read Island, which is in a Tremadocian carbonate dolomite in Canada.

Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Fossil Point, Read Island
