Sister taxa: Probillingsites cobourgensis, Probillingsites scandinavicum, Probillingsites welleri
Type specimen: a specimen in the NYSM, a partial shell (living chamber and two attached camerae). Its type locality is South Sandy Creek at Wardwell, which is in a Shermanian/Edenian carbonate limestone in the Cobourg limestone Formation of New York.
Ecology: fast-moving nektobenthic carnivore
Distribution: found only at South Sandy Creek at Wardwell
