Sister taxa: Cyathoceras embaensis, Cyathoceras kondoi, Cyathoceras mangyschlakensis, Cyathoceras periallus, Cyathoceras tortoniensis
Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal microcarnivore
Distribution: found only at Pitt Island, Chatham Islands (Miocene to Pliocene of New Zealand)
