Type specimens:
- Shantungosaurus giganteus: GMV V.1780-1, a partial skull. Its type locality is Longgujian Quarry (loc. 090414), which is in a Campanian terrestrial sandstone in the Hongtuya Formation of China.
- Huaxiaosaurus aigahtens: Its type locality is Zangjiazhuang quarry (loc. 090413), which is in a Campanian fluvial siltstone/siltstone in the Hongtuya Formation of China.
- Zhuchengosaurus maximus: Its type locality is Kugou Quarry, Zhucheng, which is in a Campanian terrestrial sandstone in the Hongtuya Formation of China.
