Type specimen: OU 5211, a valve. Its type locality is Mill Creek Section, 6 miles WSW of Mill Creek village, upper mound interval, which is in a Jefferson reef, buildup or bioherm wackestone/reef rocks in the Kindblade Formation of Oklahoma.

Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal grazer

Distribution: found only at Mill Creek Section, 6 miles WSW of Mill Creek village, upper mound interval
