Sister taxon: Sangusaurus parringtonii

Type specimen: Livingstone Museum LM/NH 9/1, a partial skull. Its type locality is Locality 15, Upper Luangwa Valley, 3.5 miles west of Sitwe, which is in an Anisian terrestrial mudstone in the Ntawere Formation of Zambia.

Ecology: herbivore

Distribution: found only at Locality 15, Upper Luangwa Valley, 3.5 miles west of Sitwe
