Sister taxon: Sangusaurus edentatus
Type specimen: UMZC T1226 (partial skull and mandible). Its type locality is Locality 328 (Nowack), which is in an Anisian terrestrial horizon in the Manda Beds Formation of Tanzania.
Ecology: planktonic herbivore
Distribution:
• Triassic of Tanzania (2 collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
