Type specimens:
- Subvishnuites welteri: Its type locality is Noil Boewan, Niki Niki (Owenites beds), which is in a Smithian marine horizon in Indonesia
- Parinyoites mastykensis: TsGM 8235/5. Its type locality is Mastyk River, outcrop 24, which is in a Smithian marine limestone in the Yatyrgvarta Formation of the Russian Federation.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution:
• Triassic of Afghanistan (1 collection), China (3), Indonesia (1), Oman (2), the Russian Federation (2)
