Type specimen: J.100, a mandible (Fragment of right ramus of lower jaw with three postcanine teeth). Its type locality is Kirtlington 3p (Mammal Bed), which is in a Bathonian mire/swamp marl in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom.
