Belongs to Acanthoparypha according to R. Ludvigsen 1979
Sister taxa: Acanthoparypha chiropyga, Acanthoparypha echinoderma, Acanthoparypha evitti, Acanthoparypha perforata, Acanthoparypha subcircularis
Type specimen: GSC 44271, a pygidium. Its type locality is District of Mackenzie Ceraurus mackenziensis zone, which is in an Edenian deep subtidal limestone in the Whittaker Formation of Canada.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore
Distribution:
• Ordovician of Canada (4: Northwest Territories collections)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
