Belongs to Daohugoucossus according to B. Wang et al. 2006
Sister taxa: Daohugoucossus lii, Daohugoucossus parallelivenius, Daohugoucossus shii
Type specimen: NIGP 141370, a hindwing. Its type locality is Daohugou (NIGP collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Daohugou (NIGP collection)
