Belongs to Clelandia according to R. J., Jr. Ross 1951

Sister taxa: Clelandia aspina, Clelandia bispina, Clelandia parabola

Type specimen: YPM 18192, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Locality 7, Franklin Basin, Zone "B", which is in a Gasconadian shallow subtidal horizon in the Garden City Formation of Idaho.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution:

• Ordovician of United States (5: Idaho, Utah collections)

• Skullrockian of United States (6: Utah)

Total: 11 collections each including a single occurrence
