Sister taxon: Paraoligolestes stavropolensis

Type specimen: MNHN-LP-R 10382, an exoskeleton (four wings probably attached to thorax, obscured by fracture). Its type locality is Montagne d'Andance, Saint-Bauzile, Privas (MNHN collection), which is in a Turolian crater lake diatomite/volcaniclastic in France.

Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore

Distribution: found only at Montagne d'Andance, Saint-Bauzile, Privas (MNHN collection)
