Type specimen: UFRGS PV 0132T, a skull (nearly complete skull and mandible). Its type locality is Inhamandá 1, which is in a Carnian/Norian fluvial mudstone/sandstone in the Santa Maria Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: planktonic herbivore
Distribution: found only at Inhamandá 1
