Sister taxon: Steleopteron cretacicus

Type specimen: 1903.V3 1985/4, an exoskeleton (Body somewhat dissociated). Its type locality is Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Naturhistorischen Museum Wien collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.

Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore

Distribution: found only at Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Naturhistorischen Museum Wien collection)
