Sister taxa: Heckethornia alticapitis, Heckethornia ballionae, Heckethornia bowiei, Heckethornia hyndeae, Heckethornia numani, Heckethornia smithi

Type specimen: SUI 113495, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is H 93.4, Hintze's H section, which is in a Tulean shallow subtidal horizon in the Fillmore Formation of Utah.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution:

• Ordovician of United States (2: Nevada, Utah collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
