Sister taxa: Balbaroo camfieldensis, Balbaroo gregoriensis, Balbaroo nalima

Type specimen: QM F3699, a partial skull (right half of a cranium and an associated left dentary). Its type locality is Upper Site, which is in an Aquitanian/Burdigalian terrestrial limestone in the System B Formation of Australia.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore

Distribution: found only at Upper Site
