Belongs to Sinocoelia according to W. Zhang and J. S. Fan 1985
Sister taxon: Sinocoelia lepida
Type specimen: Thin section 0138. Its type locality is Huangnitang Reef, Section B1, Lichuan County, which is in a Changhsingian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Changxing Formation of China.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Huangnitang Reef, Section B1, Lichuan County
