Type specimen: CGM 26923, a mandible (complete horizontal rami of mandible fused at symphysis with incisor alveoli and left and right C-M3). Its type locality is Quarry I (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution: found only at Quarry I (Jebel Qatrani Formation)
