Type specimen: CGM 42847, a maxilla. Its type locality is Quarry V (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
Ecology: arboreal omnivore
Distribution: found only at Quarry V (Jebel Qatrani Formation)
