Type specimen: USNM 18254, a partial skeleton (quadrate, anterior dorsal vertebrae, scapulocoracoids). Its type locality is SE of Pierre, which is in a Campanian marine shale in the Pierre Shale Formation of South Dakota.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Canada (2: Saskatchewan collections), United States (1: South Dakota)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
