Type specimen: AMNH 4864, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Cox's Camp, 17 (Belle Plains Formation), which is in an Artinskian terrestrial claystone/limestone in the Belle Plains Formation of Texas.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Cox's Camp, 17 (Belle Plains Formation)
