Type specimen was destroyed in 1944 by bombing raid on Munich.
Belongs to Aspidosaurus according to R. R. Schoch and A. R. Milner 2014
Sister taxa: Aspidosaurus aphthitos, Aspidosaurus binasser, Aspidosaurus glascocki, Aspidosaurus novomexicanus
Type specimen: BSP material. Its type locality is Coffee Creek, 34 (Arroyo Formation), which is in a Kungurian terrestrial claystone/sandstone in the Arroyo Formation of Texas.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Coffee Creek, 34 (Arroyo Formation)
