Sister taxon: Gryllacrimima perfecta
Type specimen: BP/2/4533, a forewing. Its type locality is Birds River (Bir 111), which is in a Carnian lacustrine - small shale in the Molteno Formation of South Africa.
Ecology: fast-moving ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Birds River (Bir 111)
