Type specimen: IVPP no. 15908, a partial skeleton (complete skull and mandible with associated vertebrae). Its type locality is Zanda (ZD0740), which is in a MN 15 floodplain siltstone/claystone in the Zanda Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling browser

Distribution: found only at Zanda (ZD0740)
