Sister taxon: Shantungosuchus chuhsienensis

Type specimen: IVPP V. 10097, a partial skeleton (A partial skull and mandible, with right atlas arch, atlas intercentrum, axis centrum and incomplete proximal portion of the right femur). Its type locality is Yanhaizi, which is in a Valanginian/Hauterivian terrestrial sandstone in the Luohandong Formation of China.

Ecology: carnivore

Distribution: found only at Yanhaizi
