Type specimen: SAM-PK-6556, a skull. Its type locality is Wonderboom Bridge, Burgersdorp, Farm Cragievar, which is in an Anisian terrestrial mudstone/siliciclastic in the Burgersdorp Formation of South Africa.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution:
