Type specimens:

  • Kaikaifilusaurus calvoi: MPCHv 4, a mandible (left lower jaw, lacking the posterior region). Its type locality is Araceli, on Bustingorry farm, which is in a Cenomanian fluvial sandstone/conglomerate in the Candeleros Formation of Argentina.
  • Priosphenodon avelasi: MPCA 300, a partial skeleton (Partially articulated, adult skeleton). Its type locality is Hoyada de los esfenodontes 1, La Buitrera, which is in a Cenomanian crevasse splay sandstone in the Candeleros Formation of Argentina.
