Sister taxa: Avitomyrmex mastax, Avitomyrmex systenus
Type specimen: 2003.2.8CDM032, an exoskeleton (queen body without head but with wing). Its type locality is McAbee (CDM collection), which is in a Ypresian lacustrine - large mudstone in Canada.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at McAbee (CDM collection)
