Type specimen: UAPC6171, a wing (both wings preserved in folded position). Its type locality is Site 1 (near confluence of Blindman and Red Deer Rivers), which is in a Tiffanian pond limestone in the Paskapoo Formation of Canada.

Distribution: found only at Site 1 (near confluence of Blindman and Red Deer Rivers)
