Sister taxon: Geranchon petrorum
Type specimen: 14053, a wing (base broken). Its type locality is Florissant (MCZ Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

Distribution: found only at Florissant (MCZ Collection)
