Sister taxon: Geranchon davisii
Type specimen: Dawson coll 19, a wing (fragment of a wing). Its type locality is Quesnel, which is in a Priabonian lacustrine shale in the Australian Creek Formation of Canada.

Distribution: found only at Quesnel
