Type specimen: PIMUZ T.3237, a skeleton. Its type locality is Val Porina, Tessin collection, Monte San Giorgio, which is in an Illyrian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite/shale in the Besano Formation of Switzerland.
