Belongs to Lingulepis according to C. Poulsen 1937
Sister taxa: Lingulella (Lingulepis) acuminata, Lingulella (Lingulepis) rowei, Lingulepis acutangulus, Lingulepis maera, Lingulepis nabis, Lingulepis pinnaformis, Obolus (Lingulepis) eros
Type specimen: Its type locality is western arm of anticline, Ella Island, which is in a Skullrockian carbonate shale/conglomerate in the Antiklinalbugt Formation of Greenland
Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Ordovician of Greenland (2 collections)
• Skullrockian of Greenland (1)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
