Type specimen: NHMB Alt:Hy-02, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Rebberg quarry, Altkirch, which is in a Rupelian lacustrine - large marl in the Salt Formation of France.

Distribution: found only at Rebberg quarry, Altkirch
