Type specimen: Univ. Iowa 1998. Its type locality is Rapid Creek, which is in a Givetian marine limestone in the Cedar Valley Formation of Iowa.
Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Rapid Creek
