Type specimen: Univ. Iowa 1997. Its type locality is 2 miles south of Brandon, which is in a Givetian marine limestone in the Cedar Valley Formation of Iowa.

Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at 2 miles south of Brandon
