Type specimen: SDSM 75705, a partial skeleton (Partial skull, paddle bones, and associated vertebrae). Its type locality is Bank of the Missouri River, which is in a Campanian marine sandstone/shale in the Pierre Shale Formation of South Dakota.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Bank of the Missouri River
