Sister taxa: Shishaella cyclopea, Shishaella hellenensis
Type specimen: BPI 1120/47, a valve. Its type locality is Golubinaya Mountain, Cyrolexis ussuricum beds, Artemovka River, Primorye, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Chandalaz Formation of the Russian Federation.
