Type specimen: BYU 1490, a calyx (dorsal cup). Its type locality is Ridge west of Slide Canyon, which is in a Morrowan/Wolfcampian marine limestone in the Oquirrh Formation of Utah.

Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Ridge west of Slide Canyon
