Type specimen: MCZ 8648, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Elmo, MCZ post-1950 collection, which is in an Artinskian pond limestone in the Wellington Formation of Kansas.

Distribution: found only at Elmo, MCZ post-1950 collection
