Belongs to Colossocossus according to F. Menon and S. W. Heads 2007
Sister taxa: Colossocossus bechlyi, Colossocossus loveridgei, Colossocossus rugosa
Type specimen: MfN MB.I 2103, a forewing. Its type locality is Crato (MfNB collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Crato (MfNB collection)
