Belongs to Colossocossus according to F. Menon and S. W. Heads 2005

Sister taxa: Colossocossus giganticus, Colossocossus loveridgei, Colossocossus rugosa

Type specimen: SMNS 65548, a forewing. Its type locality is Crato (SMNS collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Crato (SMNS collection)
