Type specimen: GSI 17179, a shell. Its type locality is Near Sarai, below Sakesar, Salt Range, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine horizon in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Near Sarai, below Sakesar, Salt Range
