Type specimen: UCMP 26546, a set of limb elements. Its type locality is Lompoc Quarry, which is in a Tortonian basinal (siliciclastic) diatomite in the Monterey Formation of California.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Lompoc Quarry
