Type specimen: SMF 28225, a pygidium. Its type locality is Nur Valley, about 4 km NNE of Yush, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine limestone in the Nesen Formation of Iran.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution: found only at Nur Valley, about 4 km NNE of Yush
