Type specimen: DGM 333-M, a maxilla (Fragments of right and left maxillae). Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: scansorial insectivore

Distribution: found only at São José de Itaborai
